Although work has been underway for a couple weeks, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Associated Bank branch at the corner of Lincoln Street and Oneida Avenue was held Friday. A spokesman for the bank said it is hoped the branch, which employees 11 people, will make the move from its downtown locations by either June or July, if not sooner. Taking part in the groundbreaking were, from left, mayor Dick Johns, president of Associated's northern community market Dennis DeLoye, teller Taylor Pilat, branch manager Jo Waltenberg, northern Wisconsin market manager Cindy Bodoh, Northwoods community private banker Brian Fritz, Northwoods community vice president for commercial banking Brad Kowieski and executive vice president Tim Lau.
