Soccer club announces 3-on-3 tourney winners
The club announced the winners of the tournament this week in a press release. The winners were as follows:
Adult - Jason Wysocki, Kirill Ramashov and Cody Jay (Mosinee)
Varsity - Matthew Van Oepen, Jonas Sabani, Richie Triplett, Hunter Hicks and Joe Schmitz (Rhinelander)
Junior Varsity - Tyler Tharman, Gabe Rein, Mack Hming, Sophia Myshchyshyn and Yaroslavl Myshchyshyn (Lakeland Area)
U14 - Andrew Henrichs, Kyle Wiese, Charlie Heck and Blue Leatham (Rhinelander)
U12 - Anthony Gateano, Hunter Lester, RJ Martenson, Aiden Moore and Zoe Anderson (Land O'Lakes/Conover)
U10 - Willa Bureta, Hayley Schiek, Ella Heck and Eva Heck (Rhinelander).
The award for the best costume theme went to a U10 team which dressed up as "Captain Underpants." Participants of this team were Avrom Barr, Carson Zadnick, Henry Schmidt and Holden Schmidt of Rhinelander.
"Rhinelander Soccer Club wants to send out a big thank you to everyone that made our 3V3 Freaky Fall Finale a success," the club stated in its press release. "We want to thank all of our participants, parents, guests, and sponsors. Without you this tournament would not have been possible."
Sponsors included: CT's Deli, Casa Mexicana, Bucketheads, Rhinelander Honda, the YMCA of the Northwoods, Best Embroidery, Lumedio LED Lighting, Foxx Legacy, and Timberland Chiropractic.
"Rhinelander Soccer plans to host more 3V3 tournaments in the near future," the club stated. "Possible plans include three more 3V3 tournaments within the next year and hopefully, a WYSA tournament in late spring/early summer of 2018. It is exciting to be able to bring these new opportunities to our club here in Rhinelander, and we couldn't do it without all of you. Thank you for all of your support."
