Just after 4 p.m. Monday the Oneida County 9-1-1 center received a report of a fully engulfed structure fire on Bundo Road in the town of Three Lakes. Firefighters from the Three Lakes and Sugar Camp fire departments, with assistance from Stella and Eagle River, spent the better part of four and a half hours extinguishing the hot spots in the crawl space of the summer cabin. Three Lakes Fire Chief Dave Kirby said the summer cabin was a total loss, but firefighters were able to save two pole barns full of recreational vehicles from being damaged. Kirby said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
