The School District of Rhinelander sent six athletes down to the state Special Olympics bowling competition in Wausau on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Allison Brunette brought home the silver medal with a second-place finish in her division. Drake Winters placed fourth in his division. Erik Radkte took sixth place in his division. Emma Knapp and Stephen Herrmann both placed seventh respectively in their divisions. Finally, Nevaeh Johnson finished with an eighth-place ribbon in her division.

"The athletes remained true to the Special Olympics oath, "'Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt,'" the district stated in a press release. "All of the athletes practiced hard throughout the season and are looking forward to gearing up for the track and field season."
