Winter Wonderland Weekend to include holiday open house, fashion show
The Winter Wonderland Weekend Holiday Open House will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 and during regular business hours Nov. 18. Shoppers will be given punch cards. If they collect punches at 15 of the 26 participating businesses they will be eligible for the $1,000 grand prize. The prize, which includes a number of items donated by downtown businesses, is currently on display in the Associated Bank window.
The Holiday Fashion Show, set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Lund and Taylor Bridal Gallerie, is also a fundraiser.
DRI is raising money to purchase new holiday decorations for the downtown business district, including a snowflake centerpiece for Brown and Davenport streets and green garland-like wraps for the light poles.
Area businesses are supplying hors d'oeuvres, wine, champagne and beer for the fashion show and the salons will be helping with hair and makeup.
Rhinelander Brewing Company is donating several cases of Uptown Girl® 7-ounce shorty light beer for the event.
There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle, with prizes such as gift certificates and more.
Ticket cost for the fashion show is $20 preregistration or $25 per person at the door. Ticket cost includes the show, three free drinks, hors d'oeuvres and an entry into a drawing.
The first 100 who preregister can get a free sparkly bracelet.
People can get their tickets early at Lund and Taylor Bridal Gallerie, CT's Deli, Forth Floral or Rhinelander Brewing Company.
