The Hodags scrimmaged four opponents in 30-minute, running-time sessions. Unofficially, the Hodags went 3-1 on the day. Rhinelander downed Port Edwards 39-17, Frederic 40-11 and Unity 34-28 before falling to last year's WIAA Division 4 state runner-up, La Crosse Aquinas, 63-21.
Sophomore point guard Kenedy Van Zile had 42 points on the day, junior swing player Brooke Mork had 29 and senior guard Ally Seefeldt added 26.
The Hodags will open the regular season against Marshfield next Tuesday at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
