Students at James Williams Middle School, 915 Acacia Lane in Rhinelander, will hold a Veterans Day ceremony in their auditorium beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10. The 7th and 8th grade band and choir will perform and the guest speaker is Matt Berth, Afghanistan veteran and Army National Guard retiree, organizers said in a press release.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Later that day, the Oneida County Veterans Council will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Monument on the Oneida County courthouse grounds. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Nativity of our Lord choir will perform, and the guest speaker is Tom Jordens, Gulf War veteran and co-owner and chef at CT's Deli in Rhinelander.

The Rhinelander Masonic Lodge #242, 23 E. Davenport Street, will host a soup/sandwich luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.

The lunch is free but donations are welcome. A gun raffle and others drawings are planned. The drawings will be at 11:30, 12, 12:30, and 1 p.m.

"All citizens are cordially invited to attend these events that honor the men and women who proudly served their country." the release states.
