The Lady Hodags needed only 67 minutes to get the job done, as they led 7-0 at halftime and eventually invoked the mercy rule to defeat Antigo, 10-0.
"The girls came out, we didn't have a ton of time to warm up," RHS assistant coach Sarah Lentini said. "That was sort of cause for concern at the beginning of the game but the girls really brought it to them right away and knocked some goals in. From there, they started working together trying to make some combinations and get some other people scoring."
Alayna Franson scored yet again, but it was her passing that helped blow the game wide open.
Lauren Fabich opened the scoring, followed by Isabelle Haverkampf, Anna Sturzl and two from Sydney Zettler, with all five goals set up by Franson.
"Alayna was fantastic with her assists, Sydney too," Lentini said. "I think we have a couple of other assists toward the end, but Alayna had the bulk of the assists for the first half and then into the second. That was fun to see. It was fun to see her, she took shots when she had the opportunity but then she found good passes. Sydney as well, just setting up teammates for some good opportunities. That was fun to see."
Franson finished the night with a goal and five assists, while Zettler had two goals and an assist. Sturzl pitched in a goal and an assist.
In total, nine different players scored goals, with Madi Losch, Payton Van Zile and Albiona Sabani scoring before Jayden Olski scored to end the game.
"We put Madi Losch up top and we found her and she put one away," Lentini said. "She did really well up top. I believe Payton, one of our outside backs, spent some time up top and she put one away. It was fun to see the girls work together and allow other players to try a new position and try to be successful in that position. The girls all worked well together. It was a real good team effort to still be classy and get some good opportunities put away."
