Community members came out in sloppy spring weather Thursday to observe the sixth annual Workers' Memorial Day and pay respect to the 43 Wisconsin workers who died on the job in 2016 and the beginning of 2017. The memorial was abbreviated due to the weather, but "Solidarity Forever," by Ralph Chapin was sung, the names of the fallen workers were read by Julie Allen, president of Local 79B, Oneida County Courthouse Union, AFSCME; and the bell tolled.
