The YMCA of the Northwoods has announced two staffing changes.

"We are pleased to annouce the promotion of Jennifer Chiamulera as the Wellness Director," CFO Toni Jaskowiak said in a press release. "She displays passion and enthusiasm in all the events and programs she has created over the past 5 years and we are confident she will bring that commitment to the Wellness Director position."

Chiamulera, who holds a bachelor's degree in dietetics and is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, took over her new post at the YMCA June 1.

"Over the past 5 years, my positions as a personal trainer and the youth and family coordinator at the YMCA of the Northwoods has been nothing short of fulfilling. I am excited to continue to work with the excellent team of health and wellness professionals to serve the mission of the Y as the wellness director. Every person, young or old, deserves access to quality nutrition and fitness resources that improve happiness and quality of life. Think what we can accomplish when we collaborate our community resources to foster an environment that builds strong, resilient people that can strive, work and enjoy this beautiful Northwoods that we live in! I am blessed to have this opportunity and I look forward to continuing to grow myself at the Y," Chiamulera said.

Chiamulera brings education and certification in nutrition and personal training and will incorporate these skills into meaningful programs that will benefit all demographics, the release states. Her goals will be to expand worksite wellness and concentrate on the YUSA initiatives that display healthy living and chronic disease prevention in our community.

The YMCA of the Northwoods has also announced the hiring of Matthew Steingraber as the director of aquatics, youth & family programs. "Matt brings a wealth of education and experience to our Y and we are excited to give him the opportunity to grow our programming" Jaskowiak said.

Raised on a dairy farm in the small town of Manawa, Steingraberused the work ethic he learned as a child to obtain a bachelor's degree in Education and a master's degree in Sport Management with emphasis on coaching, the release states. He has already been applying his education to a variety of positions in the athletic and fitness industry over the last seven years, most recently at Premier Sports Academy in Wausau.
