Dirksen joins Ministry Medical Group
A board-certified podiatrist and certified wound specialist physician, Dr. Dirksen provides comprehensive foot care to people of all ages, the release states. She has a special interest in foot surgery and wound care. Her goal is to improve and restore foot function so people can return to their normal activities as soon as possible.
Dr. Dirksen received her bachelor's degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Dirksen completed her surgical podiatrist residency at Michael Reese Hospital & Medical Center, Oak Forest Hospital, and Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She gained extensive wound healing experience while working at a national Healogics Wound Care Center in Rockford, Illinois.
"I strive to be a compassionate and caring podiatrist as I work to get people back on their feet," said Dr. Dirksen. "I believe in building relationships with my patients and treat them as I would my own family."
