Three long-standing Rhinelander Swim Club records fell last Saturday as the club hosted its annual Freezin' Season Invitational at the Heck Family Community Pool.

Jack Antonuk broke a 30-year-old record in the boys' 11-12 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:53.51. He also set a new record in the 400 individual medley with a time of 5:15.44. Makenna Winnicki broke an 18-year-old record in the girls' 13-14 400 IM with a new time of 5:14.53.

"There were so many great swims but I would have to say my highlight was watching Hannah Rumney having the meet of her life," RSC head coach Megan Cihla said. "She had huge improvements in every event. It was great getting to see her excited after all of her accomplishments. There were so many fantastic swims, too many for me to name them all, but to continue having such significant time drops this late in the season is wonderful.
