Newcomers group completes stockings for soldier project
"Some were shipped to our wounded (physically and emotionally) men and women at the Landstuhl Medical Center in Landstuhl Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany," the group said in a press release. "This is the stopover point before they are returned home to the U.S.A. The Military Support Group of Rhinelander took care of the shipping. The rest were delivered to the VA hospital in Ironwood, Mich., by volunteers at the VA administration office in Rhinelander. Newcomers and friends of the Northwoods donated the funds to fill the stockings and we hope it will make the holidays a little brighter for our veterans."
