Friendship House in Rhinelander has donated all profits plus tips from a fundraising event Jan. 31, totaling $4,070.31, to AMVETS Post 724. Originally, AMVETS was going to receive 50 percent of the profits from the event, but weather conditions prior to the event deterred customers and by the end of the evening Tony Sabani, owner of Friendship House, decided to give all the proceeds to the veterans organizations. "We appreciate all they have done and can't even put it into words how much this means to our organization. That money will assist us in helping more veterans, and keeping the Post up and running," said Tony Lehmann, adjutant for AMVETS Post 724.
