Rhinelander District Library officials are inviting the public to build a layered sand terrarium at this month's Crafternoon scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Attendees can choose from a variety of succulents, colored sand and decorative stones to create a small terrarium for their home, according to a press release announcing the event. Please bring a vessel of your choice; small vases or old jars are recommended. This craft is recommended for adults, but teens are also welcome. The program is held in the library meeting room, downstairs at 106 North Stevens Street and sponsored, in part, by the generosity of the Northern Arts Council.

Crafternoons are an opportunity to learn, make, and take a craft. They are held the third Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library. Contact the library for additional details.

The Rhinelander District Library may be reached at (715) 365-1070.
