LdF man charged with sex crimes against children
Hoban bound over for trial on class C felonies
Bryan T. Hoban was charged Aug. 22 and made his initial court appearance before Lincoln County judge Robert Russell.
According to the complaint, the alleged crimes occurred between April 2016 and April of 2017. Both of the alleged victims were 13 years old when the alleged assaults began, according to the complaint.
Hoban was released Aug. 23 on a $5,000 cash bond and $45,000 signature bond.
After Russell directed Lincoln County DA Galen Bayne-Allison to make redactions to the criminal complaint, a preliminary hearing was held on Dec. 7.
According to online court records, a Lincoln County sheriff's investigator testified as to what the two alleged victims reported to him and positively identified Hoban as the person they alleged assaulted them.
Russell ruled there was enough evidence to establish probable cause that Hoban had committed a felony and bound him over for trial.
The case proceeded to arraignment and not guilty pleas were entered.
A scheduling conference in the case is scheduled for Feb. 1.
