Northwoods School of Dance to present 'The Nutcracker'
Northwoods School of Dance to present 'The Nutcracker'
The Northwoods School of Dance, along with The Children's Dance Theatre, will perform their interpretation of "The Nutcracker" Dec. 16 at the Rhinelander High School auditorium. Times for the two shows are 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

"The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas tale," organizers said in a press release. This performance is partially funded by a generous grant from the Northern Arts Council. In addition to "The Nutcracker," jazz, tap and hip-hop dancers age 3-22 will open the show with holiday favorites.

Tanya Cook, Lindsey Halpern, Miriah Mannikko, Jessie Swearingen, Tanya Taylor, along with director Karen Cook, have been choreographing pieces for these two shows.

Tickets will be sold at the door prior to each show. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 children. Children 3 and under are free.
