Lake of the Torches wins twice as many awards as competitors at international casino marketing conference

The Romero Awards are the top honors in the casino marketing industry and recognize the most significant achievements in casino marketing and promotions in the global gaming industry. The awards are presented to top gaming venues for their innovation, creativity, originality and implementation of their marketing strategies during the previous year, the release states. They are named after John Romero, a casino marketing pioneer and author, and are considered the standard for excellence in casino marketing.
A panel of experts from throughout the gaming industry reviewed the submitted entries and selected the winners in a variety of categories. Judging criteria for the awards included marketing or promotion concepts; strategic rationale and execution of the promotion; casino revenue and other measurable results; the competitive advantage provided to the casino and the relationship of the promotion to the casino's customers and to the community.
Lake of the Torches Resort Casino received the following awards:
Gold Award, VIP Promotion: Galaxies of Cash
Silver Award, Casino Floor Promotion: New Year's Eve Cash
Silver Award, Electronic Marketing: January Hotel E-blast
Silver Award, Electronic Marketing: Bonus Free Play E-blast
Honorable Mention, Community Relations: Carry the Torch Fundraiser
Lake of the Torches Resort Casino has accumulated a total of six Diamond awards, 14 Gold awards, 16 Silver awards and 35 Honorable Mentions during the past 10 years.
