The Hodags finished third in both divisions with the boys' squad amassing 160.33 points, and the girls' team collecting 99.5 points.
The JWMS boys won seven events on Monday, including three by eighth-grader Walker Hartman, who won the 400-meter dash (1 minute, 0.60 seconds), the long jump (16 feet, 6 inches) and the triple jump (33-7).
The Hodags boys had a strong showing in the throwing events as well with Alex Olson (37-10) and Ben Sinclair (37-0 1/2) taking the top two spots in the shot put. Olson also won the discus throw (108-0).
Caleb Olcikas won the 200 meters (23.50) and took second in the 100 (12.60). Joe Lieder added a win for JWMS in the high jump (5-0).
The Hodag girls won one event in the meet, the 4x100-meter relay team of Megan Brown, Sage Flory, Annika Johnson and Carly Schmidt crossed the line in 1:01.60, taking the event by nearly nine-tenths of a second.
Other notable performances for JWMS included:
• Lexi Gamez - 2nd, girls' 100 hurdles; 3rd girls' 200 hurdles.
• Zach Volinek and Jacques Tulowitzky - 2nd and 3rd, respectively, boys' 110 hurdles.
• Jaden Beske - 2nd, boys' 1,600.
• Nevaeh Forster - 3rd, girls' shot put; 3rd, girls' discus.
• McKenna Brown - 3rd, girls' 200.
