The annual festival, which will be celebrating its 52nd year, kicks off at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, with the Veggie Rama Farmers' Market at the Minocqua Park Complex on Highway 70. Friday will also feature live music by the Lincoln Boys Band from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Torpy Park.
Saturday's festivities will begin with the Lakeland Rotary's Rump Roast and Calf Mile runs. Runners can register on-site from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 7 to 8:45 a.m. Saturday.
Calf Milers need to be registered by 8 a.m., and the race begins at 8:15. The Rump Roast 5K starts at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top man and woman in each race category.
The Prime Choice Craft Show, featuring over 60 craft vendors, begins at 9 a.m. in lower Torpy Park, along with the addition of a children's area with games, face-painting, and bounce houses.
A petting zoo will also be open in Veterans Park.
There will be 14 shuttles running people to and from downtown this year, up from seven in previous years, with stops at Lakeland Union High School, MHLT school, and the Lakeland Hawks Ice Arena.
