Last month, six of the eight Lions Past District Governors got together in Rhinelander for their annual reunion. Included in the reunion activities was a tour of the logging museum. One of the Past District Governors (PDG) noticed the worn out and torn American flag on the museum grounds. That PDG, Matt Thiel of Fremont, suggested the governors purchase a new flag for the museum. Pictured from left to right, presenting a new American flag to the staff, are PDG Dwaine Habrat of Stevens Point, PDG Robert Bayerl of Holcomb, PDG Jerry Sherwin of Cuba City, PDG Dick Schliewe of Oconomowoc, PDG Matt Thiel of Fremont, and PDG Harry Helwig, the host governor for the 2016 reunion.
