Saint Augustine's Church has called a new rector after a year-long interim and search process, church leaders said in a press release. Mother Meredyth Albright has accepted the call as the rector beginning on Nov. 1, All Saints Day.

"Mother Meredyth is currently serving as the interim rector at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Marinette," the release states. "Mother Meredyth has served as interim rector in the Church of the Nativity in Newport, Pennsylvania, and Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh. She was ordained into the Sacred Order of Deacons, 2011 and Sacred Order of Priests, June 2012 after receiving a Masters of Divinity from the highly respected Nashotah House Theological Seminary. From 2013-2015 she completed certification as a trained Interim Pastor through the Interim Ministry Network."

Mother Meredyth Albright served as a supply priest at Saint Augustine's during the summer of 2012, the release continues. She is known to many in the Rhinelander community as the past managing editor of the The Daily News for 22 years and for her active involvement in Kiwanis Club, Northwoods United Way and other civics organizations in Rhinelander.

Bishop Matthew Gunter of the Fond du Lac diocese praised her selection for Saint Augustine's and for the Diocese. "We are definitely looking forward to Mother Meredyth joining Saint Augustine's and the community of Rhinelander," he said.
