Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Ascension, has been recognized for 75 years of continuous membership in the American Hospital Association (AHA).

AHA Midwest Regional Executive Kim Byas, Sr., visited the Rhinelander Hospital on Tuesday, Oct.19 to present a 75-year membership plaque to leaders and associates of the facility.

"We are pleased to recognize Ministry Saint Mary's for its 75 years of dedicated membership and its leadership in advancing and improving the health of Northwood's residents and the community," said Byas.

The AHA marks membership anniversaries at 25, 50, and 75 years of membership.

"Ministry Saint Mary's is proud of its long standing membership in the AHA," said Sandy Anderson, president, Ministry Saint Mary's and Howard Young Medical Center. "With the ever changing landscape of health care, they are a valuable resource and partner that plays an important role for our organization and our country."

Founded in 1898 and headquartered in Chicago, the AHA is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks and their patients and communities. Close to 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 40,000 individual members come together to form the AHA.
