"They played a sold-out show here five years ago and I've wanted to bring them back ever since," Nicolet College Theatre Director Jim Nuttall said in a press release. "Not only are they incredible musicians but they're also very skilled performers who know exactly what it takes to entertain an audience. They were a blast to have last time and I fully expect they will be again. True professionals, through and through."
The Minneapolis-based quartet performs about 100 concerts a year across 48 states and has toured internationally as well. The New York Times described Tonic Sol-fa as "a vocal kaleidoscope, unique to the human voice."
Along with their concerts, the group has performed numerous times on national television, including on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," NBC's "Today Show," and on PBS.
They've also performed for U.S. presidents and shared the stage with the likes of Garrison Keillor, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Jeff Foxworthy, Weird Al Yankovic, Bryan White, Neal McCoy, and Bobcat Goldthwait, among others.
Originally scheduled to take place in the Nicolet College Theatre, the concert has been moved to the Rhinelander High School Auditorium due to remodeling in the theater.
"Concertgoers can expect an exceptionally upbeat performance," Nuttall noted. "Their songs include original arrangements along with familiar pop and gospel tunes all sung with contagious energy."
Tickets for Tonic Sol-fa are $15 and can be purchased online at nicoletlive.com or by calling the Nicolet Theatre Box Office at (715) 365-4646.
