Local dance students to perform 'The Nutcracker'
Shows will begin at 1 and 6 p.m.
"The dancers have been rehearsing and are excited to revisit this classic Christmas tale," organizers said in a press release. "This performance is partially funded by a generous grant from the Northern Arts Council."
In addition to the main event, Jazz, Tap and Hip/Hop dancers, age 3-22, will open the show with holiday favorites.
Jessie Swearingen, Tanya Cook, Kaylee McRae, along with director Karen Cook, have been choreographing pieces for students for these two shows.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children at the door.
