The Rhinelander Basketball Association's seventh- and eighth-grade girls' basketball teams took part in their second Great Northwest Basketball League tournament of the season Saturday, Nov. 5 at Wausau West High School.

The Hodag seventh-graders went undefeated to take first place in their pool while the eighth-graders went 1-3 and finished seventh in an eight-team bracket.

The RBA seventh-graders started with a 37-18 victory over Wausau West, defeated Colby 38-17 and finished with a 30-24 win over Crandon.

The RBA eighth-graders went 0-3 in pool play with losses to Altoona (28-16), Wausau East (33-27) and Wausau West (43-3). The Hodags rebounded with a 31-27 victory over Edgar in the seventh-place game.

The RBA seventh graders are back in action this Saturday in a tournament at Phillips. The next GNBL tournament for the Hodag eighth-grade team is Dec. 3 in Minocqua.
