New fundraiser for Frederick Place to be held Nov. 9
'Budding Artists' to paint Christmas ornaments
"Do you have an inner 'artist' just aching to come out? Join us for a night of painting and fun," organizers said in a press release. "Local artists will teach us how to create a beautiful hand-painted Christmas ornaments and inspire us all to become 'Budding Artists.'"
Cost is $45 per person, with a maximum of 25 seats available. This includes all supplies, first glass of wine/beer/soda, plus appetizers. A $20 nonrefundable deposit is required when making reservation.
The event will benefit the NATH homeless shelter, Frederick Place.
Frederick Place offers emergency, temporary shelter for families and individuals from Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas counties. Since opening Jan. 31, 2011, Frederick Place has provided more than 21,721 nights of emergency shelter for 499 men, women, and children. The 2016 annual operating budget for Frederick Place will be $233,500. These costs include 24/7 case management, food, utilities, supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
