Fifteen members of the squad competed in the event results were as follows:
• A.J. Bergman (brown belt): 3rd in forms, 3rd in weapons and 1st finalist in sparring.
• Zach Breneman (1st degree black belt): 2nd in forms, 1st in weapons, and grand champion
• Gavin Garrow (white belt): 1st in forms
• Emily Gregesich (black belt candidate): 2nd in weapons, 1st in forms and finalist in sparring
• Lisa Kennedy (brown belt): 2nd in forms and 1st in weapons
• Aydan Maass (blue belt): 1st in sparring and 2nd in forms
• Ronan Maass (green belt): 1st in forms and 3rd in sparring
• Ella Mullikin (orange belt) 1st in forms
• Jacob Nosser (blue belt): 3rd in forms and 3rd in sparring
• Alize Schingeck (white belt): 2nd in forms
• Kaitlyn Schingeck (white belt): 3rd in forms, 2nd in weapons
• Max Schingeck (yellow belt): 2nd in forms and 3rd in weapons
• Ryker Schingeck (yellow belt): 3rd in forms and 3rd in weapons
• Sarah Schingeck (yellow belt): 1st in weapons, and 1st in forms.
• Noah Spicer (orange belt): 1st in forms and 1st in weapons.
Additionally, Max and Sarah Schingeck took third place in the yellow belt team forms competition.
Borchardts, Bergmans honored nationally
In addition to the May 21 competition, some members of Borchardt's Beyond Martial Arts were honored at the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame April 23 in Indianapolis.
Eric Borchardt received an international black belt of the year award, grandmaster Dr. Jeff Borchardt received an international grandmaster of the year award and A.J. Bergman received an outstanding student of the year award. Additionally, Ida and Jerod Bergman received outstanding community service awards.
