Rhinelander Roots photo contest winners announced
The following submissions were judged the winning photos.
Contemporary photo: "Thirty Below Zero at the Mill" by Retired Sgt. Benjamin James Tatrow. Vintage photo: "Rhinelander Paper Co.: Break Time Around the Old Stove, 1938," by Carl Anderson, submitted by Susanne Barcal. Barcal inherited Anderson's photo collection after he died in 2008.
Each winner received a hodag mug filled with gift certificates from downtown Rhinelander merchants. The committee would like to thank Best Embroideries, The Brick, CJ's Deli, Mel's Trading Post, the Rhinelander Café & Pub, Imaginuity and Tricia's Treasures for their donations.
