Martinis in May winners announced
The People's Choice Winner, presented by Cedaroma Lodge, was the Whitetail Inn with their "Pear"adise Martini. The same martini was also selected as the Judge's Choice Winner, presented by St. Germain Sport Marine. The martini-making contest was judged by Jeanine Ilacqua from Newswatch Channel 12, Mike Machalak from WHDG Radio and Carl Ruedebusch, chairman of the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation.
Chamber officials would like to thank the bartenders from the Whitetail Inn, Four Seasons Supper Club, Clearview Supper Club, Dublins Sports Bar and Spang's Italian Restaurant who challenged their martini-making skills in this bartending competition.
"This event is gaining great recognition statewide as over 60 percent of those in attendance traveled from outside our Northwoods community to attend," the officials noted in a press release. "Mark your calendars now for our fourth annual Martinis in May set for Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Martinis in May was hosted by the Whitetail Inn, and sponsored by the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce, Bacardi Rum, St. Germain Liqueur, Grey Goose Vodka, 5 Star Marketing, Cedaroma Lodge and St .Germain Sport Marine.
