Ginner named new executive director of Trees for Tomorrow
"After a wide-ranging search, we have found a new executive director for our organization," Lisa Bauer-Lotto, Trees For Tomorrow's board president, said in a press release. "We have chosen Robin Ginner because of her extensive background in nonprofit organizations. We look forward to working with her to lead Trees For Tomorrow into 2016 and beyond."
"I am very excited to be back in Eagle River. I grew up here and attended Trees as a young girl. I have fond memories of Trees, so coming back here to continue its mission as the executive director takes on a deeper sense of purpose," said Robin Ginner.
Ginner has spent the past 15 years working for non-profit organizations in Montana (executive director, Outdoor Writers Association of America) and Illinois (Development Associate, Urban Libraries Council; and executive director, Vibration Institute). Ginner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University, with an emphasis in English and Linguistics. She is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys fly-fishing, archery, telemark skiing, backpacking and anything else that gets her outside. She can often be found exploring natural areas with her two rescue dogs Bella and Beauregard.
Trees For Tomorrow is an accredited nonprofit natural resources specialty school that serves school groups throughout Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. Founded in 1944 by a group of Wisconsin paper and electric utility companies, Trees For Tomorrow's mission is to promote sustainable management of our natural resources through transformative educational experiences for K-12 youth groups.
