"As each year passes by, the anticipation to increase sales from past years always runs high, The grocery store chain said in a press release announcing the results of the food drive. "With the help of the new Trig's Everest Metro store in Weston the food drive was a success!"
Trig's stated the total of donations came to $20,191.46. That is an increase of $2,323.08 from last year.
Customers' had the option to donate money, purchase a $10 pre-made donation bag to the local pantry or supply donations of their choice.
"The support of the community has always been very strong in the past which is why Trig's donation totals this year increased," the press release said.
Donations were distributed to the following pantries:
Eagle River - Vilas Food Pantry, Three Lakes Christian Food Pantry, the Headwaters Food Pantry
Minocqua - Lakeland Food Pantry
Rhinelander - Rhinelander Food Pantry, NATH House, Elcho Food Pantry
Stevens Point - Operation Bootstrap and the Salvation Army
Wausau - The Neighbor's Place
Everest Metro -Peyton's Promise.
