Library to offer music, magic and more this summer
Pet Walk
Children of all ages are invited to join library officials at 10:30 a.m. for a Pet Walk. "We'll end up at Sarocka Park where we'll enjoy a treat and watch some pets demonstrating agility training," library officials said in a press release. "No pet you can bring? You are welcome to join us anyway."
Preschool Programs
Two programs for preschoolers are scheduled at the library on Thursday, July 7. A 20-minute Parent/Tot Time program for children age 2 to 3 1/2 who are accompanied by an adult begins at 10 a.m. in the children's department.
A 40-minute Story Time program for children age 3 1/2 to 6 is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the library meeting room. At the completion of the programs, caregivers and children from both groups will gather together to do a simple craft.
13th Annual Library Tea Party
Registrations are now being accepted for the 13th annual Tea Party to be held at the library from 1:30 to 3 p.m. July 12. This year's theme is "Garden Party." Registration can be done by stopping in the children's department or calling 365-1070 ext. 2. This program is sponsored by the Rhinelander Woman's Club.
Magic Shows
Magic Morgan will put on two 45-minute shows in the Rhinelander District Library meeting room on Wednesday, July 13 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Matthew "Magic" Morgan and his assistant Lilliana combine the art of illusion and comedy to put on a performance that will entertain the whole family, the library said in a press release. Space is limited so a free ticket is required for these events. Stop by the children's department or call (715) 365-1070 ext. 3. These programs are sponsored by the Northern Arts Council.
Dave Dall & Friends at Buck Lake
The Rhinelander District Library will host a musical program on 4 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. July 14 at Buck Lake featuring Dave Dall & Friends. Enjoy the lake and some great children's music, the release states. Inclement weather location will be in the library meeting room.
