Nicolet Foundation's Run to Remember Aug. 20; early registration deadline Aug. 7
Dahlvig was a Nicolet graduate who lost his life in a traffic accident while on duty with the Vilas County sheriff's office.
The three previous Run to Remember events raised more than $21,000 in total for scholarships and established an endowment in Dahlvig's name.
"This scholarship run is a great way to honor Kory's legacy and service by raising funds for those looking to better themselves and their communities," Heather Schallock, executive director of the Nicolet College Foundation, said in a press release.
The event will feature a 10K run starting at 9 a.m., a 5K run starting at 9:15 a.m., and a half-mile children's run starting at 10:30 a.m.
Check-in starts at 8 a.m.
The registration fee is $25 by Aug. 7 and $30 thereafter.
The Children's Run is free with on-site registration the day of the event.
Entry is free to the first 50 Nicolet College students.
Those who register by Aug. 7 will receive a Run to Remember
T-shirt.
To register, call the Foundation at (715) 365-4518 or visit active.com to register online.
