RBA 8th graders win tourney
The Hodags defeated Lakeland White 48-19, Edgar 35-18, Athens 54-12 and Prentice 46-27. It was the first top-place finish for the this group of eighth graders during their traveling basketball years.
7th-grade girls finish third at Lakeland
The RBA seventh-grade girls' basketball team took third in an eight-team meet Jan. 9 at Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua, going 3-1 on the day.
The Hodags' lone loss was a 33-32 defeat to eventual tournament champion Merrill in pool play. Rhinelander downed Prentice 36-23 and Antigo 29-19 to qualify for the third-place game, where it defeated Mercer 31-17.
