This was the second year that the YMCA of the Northwoods members, staff and friends donated hats, mittens, scarves and other outdoor clothing items to the Tree of Warmth in the Y lobby. The tree was covered top to bottom with new and gently used items that were donated to Warm for Winter and the School District of Rhinelander to help keep our community members warm. In addition, over 50 new toys were donated to Warm for Winter, Journey's Toy Box, in memory of Journey Bemenek.

"Thank you so much for the donation of toys and mittens and scarves to Warm for Winter," Warm for Winter volunteer Jan Leschke said in a press release. "Because of your members generous donation, you have made many, many children and adults happy and warm this winter. We really appreciate your support."

The Y plans to sponsor the Tree of Warmth again next holiday season and extends a warm thank you to everyone who made this a success.
