The Bowers concert follows immediately after which the dance music and instruction begins with the Front Parlor Dance Band and dance caller Steve Kickert. Dean and Bette Premo organize and host the Second Sunday concert/dance series. A full Second Sunday Folk Dance schedule is available at www.secondsundayfolkdance.com.
"Bryan Bowers has made the Second Sunday Folk Dance the anchor of his winter Midwest tour for many years," the release states. "A Bowers concert is a memorable experience. He is a master of the many-stringed autoharp and a riveting vocalist. Between songs, he offers up stories collected from his life on the road. His song selections include humor, love, and tragedy and cover traditional and original music. Bowers' creativity and talent have won him induction into Frets Magazine's First Gallery of the Greats. This distinction put him alongside the likes of Chet Atkins, David Grisman, Stephan Grappelli, Itzhak Perlman, and Mark O'Connor."
Admission is $7/adult. Children 15 and under are admitted free.
