Shipping center provides one-stop shop for packaging and printing needs
Postal Express now open in Rhinelander

The center ships via FedEx, UPS, Spee-Dee Delivery and USPS.
Postal Express' services include copying, faxing, scanning, laminating, document shredding, gift-wrapping, various packaging options, drop offs (with prepaid labels); and wide format printing services for blueprints, posters, promotional materials and photographs.
The wide-format printing can reach a maximum of 36 inches wide with the length being whatever the customer wants. The price is per square foot and also depends on what material is used.
"We can go as small as we want, but the thing of it is it's a wide-format printer so when we print you an 8x10 we're using that whole paper," said Kari Roosa, director of Postal Express in Rhinelander.
Customers can choose from a wide selection of paper such as photo paper (with selections from mat, glossy and satin), canvas paper, and paper with different weights for projects such as blueprints or posters. The store also offers foam core mounting.
Postal Express can also make custom banners, which can have the words or icons placed to the customer's liking. Customers can bring in their own photos or select photos from templates.
"We have some different ideas in templates, and stuff like that, that they can either choose from or send their own," Roosa said.
The center has some large machines such as a laminater, a mounting machine and a trimmer to perfect the customer's order.
Postal Express was approached by several shipping companies a year or so ago and encouraged to open a third-party shipping center in Rhinelander.
"With the help of all four of them they set guidelines and help walk you through setting up a third party," Roosa said.
They looked to see what the city had to offer and concluded the business would fit in well.
"We're excited to bring this to Rhinelander and so far everybody is extremely excited," Roosa added. "(The) feedback we're getting from people is that they're excited that we're here and that they're glad that we're here."
There is also a Postal Express location in the Trig's mall in Minocqua. That location has been open for approximately 15 years.
The postal part is the same in Minocqua but their side business is cards, calendars and puzzles.
The Rhinelander Postal Express Rhinelander opened Dec. 7.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The phone number is (715) 420-0114.
