Nicolet's Mendham joins Wisconsin Restaurant Education Foundation board
"This is a real honor and great opportunity to help promote education and training in the culinary arts across the state," Mendham said.
Connie Fedor, the Foundation's executive director recently visited Nicolet to meet with Mendham and tour the college's culinary arts kitchen.
During her initial year on the board, Mendham will help with numerous Wisconsin Restaurant Association events and expos plus judge different competitions, including the annual ProStart competition for Wisconsin high school students.
The board also works to raise the visibility of the industry as a career choice for future leaders.
In 2015, Mendham received the Foundation's College Educator Salute to Excellence Award.
She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and has been teaching Culinary Arts at Nicolet College for 20 years.
