DaVita teammates in Wisconsin give back to the community
DaVita Northern Star and Rhinelander Dialysis donate $2,000 to Warm the Children as part of the 'DaVita Way of Giving'
Warm The Children is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides winter jackets, snow pants, boots, hats, mittens and scarves to children in need. DaVita teammates from Northern Star & Rhinelander Dialysis chose to donate to Warm The Children because there are so many children in need in the area who will benefit from this wonderful program, the company said in a press release.
"This is such a wonderful organization as we have so many families in our area that are struggling," said Deb Handrick, a DaVita administrative assistant. "It's a blessing to be a part of helping the children of our area stay warm this winter."
Jacki Risjord of Warm The Children said the DaVita contribution will go a long way to support its mission.
"Because of this generous donation, your company has helped us exceed our 2016 goal and help many more children in need," said Risjord.
