By Kayla Thomason-
Participants can choose either an 18- or 36-mile paved route that winds through the Nicolet National Forest and the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes.
"The biggest draw is the family ride through the Nicolet Forest enjoying nature and renewing friendships," said Skip Brunswick, executive director of the Three Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
Preregistered and unregistered riders can check in at the park between 7:30 and 9 a.m.
There will be coffee, juice and cookies available.
At 8:30 a.m. Pastor Ken Ranos of Faith Lutheran Church will bless the bikes. The ride will commence at 9:20 a.m. and should wrap up around 3 p.m.
Approximately 300 people participate in the event annually, according to Brunswick.
Restroom facilities will be located at the beginning, middle of the course and lunch points.
A hot lunch and refreshments will be served at Franklin Park.
There will also be a raffle, with the grand prize being a new bike that is valued at $450-$500, among other prizes.
The registration fee is $40 per person or $80 for a family of two adults and two children, $20 an per additional person. Proceeds will go toward trail improvements and tourism events.
All riders are required to wear ANSI-approved helmets and children must be accompanied by adults.
