"Director Jim Pekol has a great lineup of marches, concert pieces and familiar tunes," according to a press release announcing the performance. "Some of the numbers will feature sections of the band, including clarinets and saxophones, and a solo by flautist Marilyn Pekol playing 'Flight of the Bumblebee.'"
The concert is free and some benches are available; listeners are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, a good-will donation to drop in the bucket and refreshments to go with the free popcorn.
This week's show is sponsored by Ripco Credit Union. In case of bad weather, the performance will be moved to the senior center across the parking lot. For more information, contact event organizer Jan Leschke at (715) 362-7157.
