Haas began her education at University of Stevens Point and eventually received a bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Phoenix and a master's segree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University.
She is a northern Wisconsin native who recently migrated back home from Colorado after starting a family, the Transition Center said in a press release.
"She currently lives on acreage with her husband, two children, family dog, and flock of chickens," the release states. "Over the last year Kim has gained clinical experience working with dually diagnosis clients with both mental health and substance use issues. Haas is most passionate about working with couples in order to build strong marriages, the foundation for a healthy family. She has specialized training in Gottman Couple's Therapy. She also has interest in working with all family members, including adults, children, and adolescents, on a variety of personal struggles including depression, anxiety, problematic behavior, and interpersonal relationships. She utilizes mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy to help empower clients to take control of and direct their lives."
Haas is available to see clients that have health insurance, through employee assistance programs, as well as private pay individuals and those that may have no health insurance. She will be available by appointment Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays including some early evening times.
