The meet was originally scheduled for Sept. 17 and postponed due to inclement weather.
The Hodag boys had a strong showing, placing eight runners in the top 20 and beating Lakeland by 19 points for the team title. Konnor Kennedy paced the way for JWMS, taking fourth overall in a time of 12 minutes, 56 seconds. Several Hodag teammates were hot on Kennedy's heels. Jacob Weddle finished fifth (13:01), Zach Goodrich was sixth (13:14), Cal Laggis finished ninth (13:33) and Jaden Beske was 10th (13:50). Also placing in the top 20 overall for the JWMS boys were Tristan Fuss (15th, 14:36), Alex Kubeny (16th, 14:38) and Samuel Fehlen (19th, 14:56).
On the girls' side, the Hodags used a six pack of runners in the top 13 to edge Antigo by one point for the team title. Megan Brown paced JWMS, placing sixth (14:38), Brynn Brzycki was seventh (14:38), Sage Flory took eighth (14:44), Delaney Chillemi was ninth (14:47), Anna Wood finished 12th (15:27) and Audrey Schiek was 13th (15:31).
