Rhinelander Dental Center welcomes three new dentists
Dr. Nathan Fiebke started at the Rhinelander Dental Center in July. He is a graduate of Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He earned a graduate degree from Purdue University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis.
While in dental school he volunteered at a medical clinic serving homeless people in Indianapolis and a student outreach clinic for low-income residents of Indianapolis. He also visited local elementary schools teaching kids how to take care of their teeth, the dental health center said in a press release.
"I was born and raised in the upper Midwest, so I'm pretty excited to be back up north," Dr. Fiebke said. "My family loves our new home in Rhinelander and we're hoping for heavy snow."
Dr. Fiebke enjoys hunting, hiking, snowmobiling and Michigan Tech hockey.
Drs. Kirandeep Kaur and Kevin Mastey joined Rhinelander Dental Center Aug. 24.
Dr. Kaur received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital in Punjab, India. She then completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) at State University of New York, Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo.
Dr. Kaur is a member of the American Dental Association and Omicron Kappa Honor Dental Society. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys combining her artistic skills with her dental training to restore beautiful smiles. Her approach to the practice of dentistry is to preserve the natural dentition by using minimally invasive techniques.
"I have great empathy for my patients and I believe that quality care begins with quality caring," Dr. Kaur said. "I am always most happy to receive compliments from parents for treating children in friendly and compassionate environment and helping them cultivate a lifetime of great oral health."
Her community service has included outreach to Amish schoolchildren as well as remote area medical services in Tennessee. In her spare time Dr. Kaur enjoys staying active, cooking, exploring new cuisines and traveling. She devotes much of her free time to learning about new advances and techniques in dentistry.
Dr. Kevin Mastey also received his DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He has volunteered at community and free dental clinics in Indiana.
"I am originally from northeastern Wisconsin and my father also is a dentist there," Dr. Mastey said. "My wife and I married during my first year in dental school and we are happy to return to Wisconsin."
In his free time, Dr. Mastey enjoys making automotive repairs, winter sports, NFL football and hiking and outdoor activities.
"We are excited to have all three of these great dentists join the Rhinelander Dental Center," said Shari Danielson, manager. "They will provide a wonderful service to the Rhinelander area and the surrounding communities."
Marshfield Clinic Rhinelander Dental Center opened its doors for patients in January 2012. It is located at 2268 North Shore Drive in Rhinelander and serves all patients, regardless of ability to pay or insurance status. A Dental Financial Assistance Program is available for those with limited income.
In addition to the Rhinelander Center, Marshfield Clinic's partnership with Family Health Center of Marshfield, Inc., has resulted in the establishment of dental centers in Chippewa Falls, Ladysmith, Marshfield, Medford, Neillsville, Park Falls, Rice Lake and Black River Falls.
