O'Donnell joins Ministry Medical Group
An obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. O'Donnell provides comprehensive medical care for female reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and can help prevent, identify and treat health and medical issues that face women of all ages.
Dr. O'Donnell received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, N.Y. His undergraduate degree is from Marymount Manhattan College in New York, N.Y. He completed his OB-GYN residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
"As a both musician and a doctor, I'm always inspired by life's big events," said Dr. O'Donnell. "Having a child is one of the greatest experiences in any person's life. It can also be extremely stressful. From the first prenatal visit I work to educate my patients as to what they can expect - from first tri-mester nausea to method of delivery and pain management during labor. While every detail of a pregnancy and delivery cannot be planned, it's important for me to be in tune with my patients and anticipate their needs."
Prior to attending Medical School, Dr. O'Donnell was a traveling singer/songwriter. He recorded a record with HIVE Music and received a publishing agreement with ASCAP where he was included in the Advanced Songwriters Classification. He received a grant from Jim Beam and played venues ranging from The Mercury Lounge in Manhattan to The Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas. He is an avid reader and lover of film and is a certified in scuba diving. Dr. O'Donnell also enjoys the outdoors - hiking, camping, ice skating, hockey and cycling.
