Middle school cross country: Hodags harriers host invite
The Hodags finished second in the boys' division, only six points behind champion D.C. Everest, and fourth in the girls' division.
The JWMS boys placed eight runners in the top 25 overall, led by Zach Goodrich, who placed sixth with a time of 13 minutes 14 seconds. Jacob Weddle (eighth, 13:17) and Konnor Kennedy (11th, 13:19) were close behind. Also in the top 25 for the Hodags were Cal Laggis (17th, 14:17), Jaden Beske (21st, 14:35), Tristan Fuss (22nd, 14:35), Daniel Goldsworthy (24th, 14:39) and Jacques Tulowitzky (25th, 14:39).
Brynn Brzycki paced the Hodag girls, taking 11th overall with a time of 14:47. Rounding out the JWMS top seven were Megan Brown (15th, 15:05), Sage Flory (20th, 15:35), Delaney Chillemi (21st, 15:37), Audrey Schiek (27th, 15:58), Anna Wood (36th, 16:36) and Madison Helke (55th, 19:06).
The Hodags were scheduled to host another race Thursday against Great Northern Conference opponents but that event was canceled due to inclement weather.
