The Fall Ride hours will be Thursday, Sept. 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight. The action will hit high gear at 5 p.m. Friday at the Tomahawk School Complex as motorcycles of all makes and models will participate in the Thunder Parade. The parade is expected to reach downtown around 6 p.m.
The Tomahawk/Merrill Area Tavern League has asked a Muscular Dystrophy Association client family to speak during the Fall Ride. This will be the first year someone has spoken during the event about how these efforts have helped them.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be a non-denominational church service in the Big Top at 9:30 a.m. It will be presented by the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
There will be other fun events such as the Lawnmower Tractor Races and the Motorized Barstool Races.
Harley-Davidson will have a 2015 motorcycle demo fleet throughout the event.
Bikers can also participate in the Fun Run Friday and Saturday. Participants can purchase cards for $10.
One lucky person could win a 2015 ultra classic electric glide motorcycle. The prize also includes a $1,000 gift certificate to Harley-Davidson of Wausau for a custom paint job. The trunk of the electric glide has been autographed by Willie G.
Raffle tickets for the motorcycle can be purchased for $20 for five tickets or $5 apiece. There will also be a live auction on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. for Harley-Davidson apparel and merchandise.
If you are in need of new Harley-Davidson merchandise, have no fear. Approximately 20 merchandise vendors will be selling Harley apparel and other items during the weekend.
Official Fall Ride merchandise will also be for sale and that includes hats, pins, T-shirts, sweatshirts and more.
SARA Park is one of Harley-Davidson's official H.O.G (Harley Owners Group) pin stops.
"They travel to limited number of locations throughout the year and give away pins if you're a H.O.G. chapter member," said Charlotte Terp, administrative assistant for MDA.
Those who want to see where parts of the motorcycles are built can go to the Kaphaem Plant open house. Tours will be available Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
There will be 10 non-profit vendors located on 2nd and 3rd Street selling food including Italian beef, pulled pork sandwiches, chili, hot dogs, brats, burgers and more. There will also be baked goods and cheese curds among other things.
The non-profits include Tomahawk Lions Club, Tomahawk Hockey Association, First Congregational Church in Tomahawk, Tomahawk Figure Skating Club, Tomahawk Swim Club, Tomahawk United Methodist Church, Tomahawk Fire Department, St. Paul's Church in Irma, Kinship of Tomahawk.
"It's huge to have them with us down there," said Mike Meinheit, president of the Tomahawk/Merrill Area Tavern League.
Throughout the weekend there will be plenty of music to entertain the crowds.
There will be two stages on Wisconsin Avenue, with bands selected by the Tomahawk/Merrill Area Tavern League.
The East Stage will be located at the intersection of 4th Street.
Consult the Briefcase, a classic rock and blues band, will perform from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday.
