Riders can choose to ride 18 miles or the full 36-mile paved course, enjoying the beautiful scenery and early fall colors along the way.
Registration will take place at Don Burnside Park in Three Lakes between 7:30 and 9 a.m. The race starts at 9:20 a.m. The cost is $40 per individual or $80 per family, said Skip Brunswick, director of the Three Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Each rider gets a T-shirt.
Lunch will take place during a break on the route, and is included with the cost of registration, Brunswick said. All riders will have a chance to win raffle prizes. The grand prize this year is a brand new bike.
Each rider is required to wear an ANSI-approved helmet and children must be accompanied by an adult. Bikes pulling trailers are welcome, as family participation is encouraged. Riders should carry their own bike pump, spare tube, and tools, Brunswick said, although a SAGâwagon will be available.
"It's a family ride, not a race," Brunswick said. "Everyone is welcome."
