Sandstrom joins Ministry Medical Group

Ministry Health Care has welcomed Todd Sandstrom. MD, FACS, to Ministry Medical Group's surgery department. He will be providing care at Ministry Medical Group in Rhinelander.

A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Sandstrom can perform a broad array of procedures, Ministry Medical Group said in a press release. He has a special interest and expertise in broad spectrum general and vascular surgery, breast, and thyroid surgery. He can also provide advanced laparoscopy and single incision laparoscopic surgery as well as upper and lower GI endoscopy. Dr. Sandstrom received his medical degree from the UW-Madison School of Medicine. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Chicago. Dr. Sandstrom completed his surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He is certified in advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and basic micro-surgery.

"I enjoy bluegrass music and appreciate how talented musicians can make it look easy," said Dr. Sandstrom. "I think the same can be said in medicine. As a surgeon, I believe in providing technical excellence to my patients. My goal is to find common ground and communicate in a way that actively engages my patients in their care plan."
